English for Journalists comprises eight modules - in each of these are information pages, interactive quizzes and exercises.
Each learner has their own unique account that logs individual progress throughout the course.
The interactive exercises require the Flash plug-in. If you don't have it you can download Flash from the macromedia website.
Working through the course.
English for Journalists is a web application. Like all web applications English for Journalists is accessed online using web browsers. When using web applications, like buying airline tickets online, it is preferable to use the navigation provided within the pages rather than the Back and Forward buttons on your browser.
In English for Journalists you should navigate using; the next and previous buttons on the content pages, the menus in the site page, the module pages and the topics pages and the buttons in the quizzes.
This online course is accessed through standard browser software and has been tested on Internet Explorer 5.5sp2+, Firefox 1.3 and Safari.
